Close the Care Gap

π—ͺ𝗒π—₯π—Ÿπ—— π—Ÿπ—¨π—‘π—š π—–π—”π—‘π—–π—˜π—₯ 𝗗𝗔𝗬 - 1𝗦𝗧 π—”π—¨π—šπ—¨π—¦π—§ 2022 π—›π—œπ—¦π—§π—’π—₯𝗬-The lung cancer disease for the first time was detected in the 19th century and at that time it was very rare disease for a long time. Like even during the early part of the 20th century it remained a rare disease as people only heard about it mostly even many reports states that only 1-2% of the population of that time were afflicted to it. However in later part of the 20th century specifically after the World War 2 this disease has seen a major rise and by 1990s only it became one of the leading causes of deaths in the world.Β  And it is not that surprising as in the recent human history we have see that the smoking consumption has skyrocketed as this primarily happened because of lack of awareness and several companies claimed smoking to be a good activity back then and there were no restrictions that time and then people got addicted to smoking.Β  Along with smoking some other factors which are favouring the lung cancer includes pollution mostly air pollution caused in today's world as it is filled with various toxic gases which directly affects our health.Β  Thus there was a demand from a long time to establish a day regarding the lung cancer awareness campaign so that people can be aware about it so they can avoid this disease by quitting their bad habits for their good health and that's how the World Lung Cancer Day was established in 2012. π—œπ— π—£π—’π—₯π—§π—”π—‘π—–π—˜ It is very important to pay to the lung cancer as it no joke among all the cancers it has the most death toll and it's survival rate is lowest than any other cancer. For a record according to WHO in 2020 alone there were 10 millions deaths recorded just because of the cancer alone and most of them came by lung cancer only which is nearly 1 in every 6 deaths worldwide.Β  In that 10 million deaths about 1.8 millions deaths are caused by the lung cancer itself and it is the most among any cancer. The lung cancer is primarily cause by smoking, inhaling toxic gases, a bad diet, an unhealthy lifestyle, pollution, bad intake of foods, etc.Β  The survival rate in lung cancer is also the lowest so once you are infected then there are high chances that you might die as within first five years of lung cancer the survival rate is only 22% and hence to be saved from it the best way is to avoid it any cost at the very first place only.Β  And for doing that proper guidance and awareness has to spread first and that is the primary motive behind the observance of this day to encourage people to adopt a good way of lifestyle to avoid this dangerous disease.Β  π—§π—›π—˜π— π—˜ isΒ "Close the Care Gap".Β  The aim behind this theme is to eradicate all the disparities and differences regarding taking care to cancer patients all over the world. Which means that everyone must be treated equally without any discrimination coming in between like social class, wealth difference, race, identity, etc.Β  It tries to give a message and hope to the world that we all human beings together as one species have to fight against this evil disease called lung cancer. No poor should be left behind from getting all the required treatment and care in treating his/her lung cancer. That's why it requests all the people and institutions of the world to take care of everyone as equal in dealing them with lung cancer.Β  𝗗𝗑𝗒 - 𝗝 ( 𝗑𝗛𝗠 ) π—§π—›π—”π—‘π—žπ—¦ πŸ™
